UNITED STATES ONGRESS. Procedings of Senate and Hours From Day to Day. THE SENATE. July 6th. The Senate passed the resolutions of annexation of Hawaii by a vote of 42 to 21. Pettigrew offered s resolution tendering the thanks of Congress to Commodore Schley and the men under him for their gallant conduct in the destruction of the Spanish fleet; referred to committee on naval aftairs. Senate concurred in the House amendment to the general deficiency bill, thus passing the last of the appropriation measures. Conference reports were presented on a bill for protection ol harbor aua coast defences and on a bill tc increase the force in the ordnance de partment in the army; both agreed to. At 5:50 p. m. the Senate went into executive session, aud at 0:15 p. m. adjourned. JriA' 7th. A bill conferring upon Adjutant General Corbin, the rank, pay and allowances of a major general, was passed by tLo Senate. During the greater part of the session the Senate considered unobjected bills on the general calendar. passing a large number of them.
