The <*? ntle Hovers? On last Friday two young and neatly appareled females made their appearance on our streets, aud visit ed almost every business place in quest of money. Under the operation of such feel ings a considerable amount of small change was collected, when Marshal Cannon, rising above the sentimen talities atllicting the rest of us, rushed upjn the scene, and after a short iu '.erview, escorted the gentle rovers before our City Council, to give an account of their stewardship. They were examined and found wanting, and ordered to leave the town on the first train.
