Mr. Edward Carroll, of Branchville, was selected as umpire, ami Messrs. E. M. Carroll and J. S. Altar get ti acted as scorers for their respective clubs. Time was called, and the contes tants, entered fairly into the fight, lu>th with sanguine expectations of victory.? The battle lasted for several hours, with unabated interest.
