Master Sergeant Leonard C. Pitts had been, be fore his untimely death, NCOIC of Rhein-Main Personnel Ser vices. But we are. not dedicat ing this gymnasium solely be cause of the outstanding job Sergeant Pitts has done in ful filling the requirements of his position. I believe a more im portant aspect of this man was the inspiration he was to oth ers. Sergeant Pitts was the type of man that brought out the best in everyone associated with him. His personal interest and untiring efforts on behalf of the Rhein-Main Sports Pro gram and on behalf of each and every athlete and specta tor associated with it, is an ex ample for all of us in the Air Force to be proud of. I am proud to have known this man who did so much for his fel- lowmen.
