Mr. Saia spoke to the assem bly on the subject, “Why Does God Permit Wickedness?” The Watchtower Society represen tative related that because of the great love God has for mankind, He will bring an end to wickedness. “At His set time,” Saia related “Jehovah God will end the rebellion of man and the Devil. The dis play of power He will unleash, and the good it will accomplish will be the talk of the ages to come.” Mr. Saia related how Bible prophecy is pointing to the period of time in which we are living as the time for God to bring an end to wick edness. The three-day assembly was attended by the local ministers of Jehovahs Wit’nesses and their families. The purpose of the tri-state gathering was a training pro gram for the Witnesses in providing Bible Instruction and discussions directed toward the Ministry. Jehovah’s Wit nesses are unique in that there is no such thing as a laity- clergy distinction throughout their entire congrega- t io n a 1 membership according to Mr. Brooks, presiding min ister of the Newberry congre gation. “We are all ministers in the sense that we offer aid and assistance to people inter ested in God’s Word, the Bible” ho said.
