During re hearsals Atlas was very nervous. “Let me take off my shirt,” he begged. “I’ll feel less nervous.” They went on the air, and when Berle gave Atlas his cue. Atlas remained “frozen.” Another cue, and still Atlas couldn’t utter a word.
