C. P. Lathan, who has been ill for the past several months, is now able to be up and about his home on E. Main street. Knight of Hamburg, are visiting in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Spearman in the county. Mr. and Mrs. Homer Setzler of Kingstree, spent last week with Mr. Setzler’s brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. T. E. Setzler on College street, while in the city they also visited other relatives, Mr. and Mrs. Shealy Setzler and Mr. and Mrs. Waldo Huffman. Jesse Holland and family are now residing at 602% Glenn street in the apartment recently vacated by the Berley Hawkins. Clary and Mr. and Mrs. James Price and two children Eva Jane and Steve, visited Mr. and Mrs. James Clary, and daughter, Betsy, also Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Clary and family, in Greenville, Sun day. Mrs. O. B. Cannon, returned to her home on Johnstone street, Monday, after spending a couple of weeks in Louisville, Ga., with her qpn, Olin Cannon and family. Mrs. Cannon is planning to move in about a week from Johnstone street, into one of the Wiseman Apartments on Calhoun street. Jack Taylor, who was injured in an automobile accident near Concord, N. C. three weeks ago, was brought to the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Taylor on Calhoun street, last Saturday from the Charlotte Memorial Hospital, where he had been a patient since the accident. Mr. Ringer is assistant principal and coach of the Lan caster high schooL Mrs. Strother Paysinger, has returned to her home on John stone street, after spending some time in Durham, N. C., with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Kibler Williamson. She ,say3 that Mr. Williamson, who has been ill, and a patient in a Dur ham hospital for the past month has returned to his home and is recuperating nicely. Rev. and Mrs. Alan Jenkins and daughter, Mirian have been visiting in the home of Prof, and Mrs. F. Scott Elliott on College Campus. Mrs. Jenkins is the sister of Mrs. Elliott. Rev. Jenkins is the pastor of Central Congregational church in Galesburg, Illinois. He is a scholar, a writer, and a lecturer on Carl Sandburg, the poet whom he has been visiting at Flat Rock, N.
