The trustees of said district to act as mana gers of th e election. All qualified voters (having registration certificate at least 30 days old and issued since Jan. 1, 1948, a tax receipt show ing taxes paid in said district, be a resident in the district, where voting takes place, for 4 months prior to the time of the election, in this district) shall be eligible to vote, and if a majority of those voting shall favor consolidation the consolidation shall become ef fective, and the patrons of said district shall enjoy the privi leges and responsibilities of Newberry District the same as those now in the system. D. Johnson, and Mr. and Mrs. James Ferdi nand Jacobs of Clinton met the guests at the door. Mrs. P. D. Johnson, Sr., introduced them to the receiving line in the living room, composed of the bridal couple, their parents and the members of the wed ding party. Mr. and Mrs. E. S. Summer of Mbnroe, Ga., entertained in the gift room. Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Duncan invited the guests into the dining room where Miss Sara Caldwell, Miss Joan Martin, Miss Barbara Long and Miss Claudia Setzler served. The dining table was covered with a white linen cut work cloth and centered with the lovely three tiered wedding cake topped with a miniature bridal couple in an arrange ment of fern, spirea and white iris flanked by candles in sil ver candelabra. Punch was served in the hall by Mrs. Carl Setzler, Miss Lutie Taylor, Mrs. W. W. Cromer, Mirs. Clyde McCarley and Mrs. George Stephens. Mrs. Ervin Sease and Mrs. Claudia Suber presided over the bride’s register. The home was decorated throughout with southern smi- lax, early spring flowers and gladioli. Late in the evening the bride changed to a going away suit of grey gabardine with which she wore a matching hat and \ the orchid corsage from her prayer book.
