MISS SUMMER
( Continued from page 4)
on College street extension.
Mr. and Mrs. P. D. Johnson,
and Mr. and Mrs. James Ferdi
nand Jacobs of Clinton met the
guests at the door. Mrs. P.
D. Johnson, Sr., introduced
them to the receiving line in
the living room, composed of
the bridal couple, their parents
and the members of the wed
ding party.
Mr. and Mrs. E. S. Summer
of Mbnroe, Ga., entertained in
the gift room. Mr. and Mrs.
C. C. Duncan invited the guests
into the dining room where
Miss Sara Caldwell, Miss Joan
Martin, Miss Barbara Long and
Miss Claudia Setzler served.
The dining table was covered
with a white linen cut work
cloth and centered with the
lovely three tiered wedding
cake topped with a miniature
bridal couple in an arrange
ment of fern, spirea and white
iris flanked by candles in sil
ver candelabra.
Punch was served in the
hall by Mrs. Carl Setzler, Miss
Lutie Taylor, Mrs. W. W.
Cromer, Mirs. Clyde McCarley
and Mrs. George Stephens.
Mrs. Ervin Sease and Mrs.
Claudia Suber presided over
the bride’s register.
The home was decorated
throughout with southern smi-
lax, early spring flowers and
gladioli.
Late in the evening the bride
changed to a going away suit
of grey gabardine with which
she wore a matching hat and \
the orchid corsage from her
prayer book. Following a wed
ding trip the couple will make
their home in Allendale.
