They will go to Anderson today to hear Miss Marcia Wyche of Greenville, who is singing there tonight. Guests Sunday of Dr. and Mrs. G. W. Harmon were Dr. and Mrs. T. H. Symmes, Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Symmes. and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wienges of St. Matthews: Dr. F. W. Bradley, Miss Jane Bradley and Mrs. Frank Bradley of Columbia. They came at this time to see Mrs. Harmon’s Iris garden, which has been and still is very lovely. Mrs. Tommy Harmon and her little daughter visited Mrs. J. H. Koon of Lancaster Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. James Arthur Bedenbaugh and their two children Jimmy and Anne of Laurens were visiting in the home of their parents. Dr. and Mrs. J. I. Bedenbaugh and Mrs. R. T. Pugh over the weekend. Spending the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Jake Wheeler were Mr. and Mrs. Mac Ballard and two children of Charlotte, N. C. Mr. and Mrs. Brooks Epting and their children spent Sun day with relatives in Laurens. Miss Edith Dill visited in Simpsonville over the weekend. R. W. Ballentine of Camden spent the weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Ballentine. Mrs. Jake Wheeler and her little daughter, Margaret, visi ted her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. S. Cochran in Abbeville the I first of the week. Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Beden baugh, Asbury and Joe Beden baugh and Tommy Harmon spent Sunday in Charlotte. Mr. and Mrs. H. P. Wicker visited Mr. and Mrs. Tom Tay lor in Greenwood Sunday. Weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. G. S. Wingard were Mr. and Mrs. Carl Wingard of Columbia and Marion P. Con nelly of the Univeisity of Ga. at Savannah. Mrs. Ada Bedenbaugh is visit ing in Laurens. Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Counts, Jr., were Mr. and Mrs. Pat Hallman of Johnston, and Mr. and Mrs. Roy Ander son of Columbia. Private James Oliver Sease of the U. S. Army Air Corps has been visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bennie Sease. He is being transfered from Texas to New York. The Rev. and Mrs. Paul Sher rill are spending this week in Norfolk, Va., where Mr. Sherrill is conducting services. THIEF ENTERS THREE NEWBERRY HOMES The identity of the person or persons who entered three New berry homes late Tuesday night and gtole money still remained unknown Thursday morning, ac cording to Police Chief Dowd. The thefts occurred after mid night Tuesday in the homes of Mrs. Mae A. Aull, Boundary street, O. M. Cobb, also Bound ary street and Dr. L. E. Brossey, Caldwell street. The robber was bold enough to go into the rooms and steal money from within a few feet of where members of the houses were sleeping. About $35 in a wallet was stolen from Phil Aull, the same amount from Dr. Brossey. The housebreaker entered the Cobb home through the basement and came to the first floor, where he also took a wallet and money from a bedroom. Chief Dowd stated that the police are investigating, and ex pect to make an arrest soon.
