Mrs. W. R. Symmes. and Mr.

They came at this time to see
Mrs. Harmon’s Iris garden,
which has been and still is very
lovely.
Mrs. Tommy Harmon and her
little daughter visited Mrs. J.
H. Koon of Lancaster Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. James Arthur
Bedenbaugh and their two
children Jimmy and Anne of
Laurens were visiting in the
home of their parents. Dr. and
Mrs. J. I. Bedenbaugh and Mrs.
R. T. Pugh over the weekend.

Private James Oliver Sease
of the U. S. Army Air Corps
has been visiting his parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Bennie Sease. He
is being transfered from Texas
to New York.
The Rev. and Mrs. Paul Sher
rill are spending this week in
Norfolk, Va., where Mr. Sherrill
is conducting services.
THIEF ENTERS THREE
NEWBERRY HOMES
The identity of the person or
persons who entered three New
berry homes late Tuesday night
and gtole money still remained
unknown Thursday morning, ac
cording to Police Chief Dowd.
The thefts occurred after mid
night Tuesday in the homes of
Mrs. Mae A. Aull, Boundary
street, O. M. Cobb, also Bound
ary street and Dr. L. E. Brossey,
Caldwell street. The robber
was bold enough to go into the
rooms and steal money from
within a few feet of where
members of the houses were
sleeping.
About $35 in a wallet was
stolen from Phil Aull, the same
amount from Dr. Brossey. The
housebreaker entered the Cobb
home through the basement and
came to the first floor, where
he also took a wallet and money
from a bedroom.
Chief Dowd stated that the
police are investigating, and ex
pect to make an arrest soon.
