Chaippell and their three children were called to McRae, Ga., Monday because of the illness of Mrs. Chappell’s father, the Rev. Woodle. Mrs. Nannie Mae Cook left this weekend for a visit with her daughter, Mrs. G. M. Simp kins in Chattanooga, Tenn. Weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Monroe Mills were Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Long of Char leston, and Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Calvert of Greenwood. Rogers Taylor, S-lc of the U. S. Navy at Jacksonville, Fla., and his friend, Dale Furguson, also of the Navy, spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Taylor. Mr. and Mrs. Edd Perry of Charleston and Franklin Perry of Johnston were recent guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Perry. Miss Nelle Harmon of Winth- rop College spent the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Harmon. The Harmons also had Mr. and Mrs. Melton L. Wall of Newberry and Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Lowe of Colum bia with them Sunday. Mrs. Carrie Bradshaw of Co lumbia was the weekend guest of her sister, Mrs. E. G. Eargle. Sunday guests of Dr. and Mrs. J. B. Harman were Mr. and Mrs. L. M. Minick has re turned from the Baptist hospi tal in Columbia where she had been under treatment for the past month, and is doing fine. Mr. and Mrs, Rufus M. The many friends of Mrs. John Ki'bler will be glad to know she is at home from the hospital and is improving. Mrs. W. E.
