J. B. Harman. Mrs. Rikard is the daughter of the late Erick B. Harmon and Nannie Padgett Harmon of Newberry. She attended the schools of Newberry & is now working in Whitmire. Mr. Rikard is a son of Mr. and Mrs. R. Clarence Rikard of Whitmire. He attended the schools of Whitmire and is now employed by the Baldwin Mills. They will make their residence in Whitmire. This week our first description is of a girl seen in the office where she works on Main street one day last week. She was wearig a very attractive green jumper dress and white shirt waist an dtan shoes. She has brown hair and grey or hazel eyes. Our second description is of a lady seen about 3 o’clock Tuesday after noon coming out of the Post Office. She was wearing a black coat, red white shirtwaist and tan shoes.. She has grey hair and brown eyes and wears glasses. Summer, Inc. 2t DAVIS-HAWKINS The marriage of Miss Margaret Adele Davis and Ensign Fred Haw kins which took place Saturday af- teroon, December the twelfth at 6 o’clock in the Associated Reformed Presbyterian church will be of in terest to friends in the city and else where. Dr. J. W. Carson, officiaed, using he double ring ceremony. The church was unusually lovely in its decorations of palms, and white carnations. The wedding music was furnished by Miss Mary Layton, organist and Miss Sarah Paysinger, vocalist. Mrs. Hawkss is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lon Davis. She re ceived her education in the Newberry city schools ad Newberry college, and until the time of her marriage she taught in the city schools of Saluda. Ensign Hawkins is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gary Hawkins. He also attended the city schools end New berry college, and received his mas ter degree from the University of North Carolina. Ensign Hawkins is an instructor in the Great Lakes Training school in Chicago, where the young couple will make their home. KENDALL MILLS LUTHERAN PARISH Rev. J. B. Harman, pastor. CHRISTMAS EXERCISE AT JOHNSTONE SCHOOL Mrs. Venessa Holt will leave Fri day night for Temple, Texas to spend the Christmas holidays with her daughter and son-in-law, Major and Mrs. J. O. Ulman and their little son. The friends and patrons of John stone school are cordially invited to a Christmas exercise at the school- house Friday night, Dec. 18, at 7:30 o’clock.
