Dr. Kerr is considered an outstanding teacher of Bible doctrine, and will be welcomed by all Bible-lovers, not only of Aveleigh church but of the entire community. He has chosen a limited and it is expected that about 250 men from over the entire presbytery will be present. This is to be an ex pression of this presbytery’s part in getting under way for the Evangelis tic crusade initiated by the last Gen eral Assembly. Outstanding speak ers representing the Assembly move ment will be the special speakers. Rev. C. A. Calcote and his committee on Home missions are exceedingly de sirous of a fine representation from this section since the responsibility for attendance devolves upon them. Oodles of them have been planned both here and in Greenwood. Some entertain ing for her here will give parties at night and Ruby will come over just to of December, and will be at home only a week before the wedding. We learn the wedding will be a quiet af fair held at the Clary home on Boun dary with only immediate families attending. Ruby’s only attendant will be her twin sister, Ruth. Red will be attended by his brother. After the wedding and the honeymoon the couple return to Greenwood to make their home. Ruby gives up her job for a hai'der one, housekeeping. At least that’s what we think. They will have an apartment—a brand new one that will not be completed until the first of next month. Mc Lean and son, Teddy, of Charleston. The McLeans live at Porter in Char leston where Mr. McLean is coach. Little Teddy attends Porter, being a fourth grade student and leading his class. He was wearing his smart looking .unform here Saturday and proudly showing how he drilled at school and the proper way to salute his superiors. Bridge—Rook A bridge and rook tournament will be sponsored by the American Legion Auxiliary next week, to be held ati the home of Mrs. C. A. Dufford on College street- Parties will be given on Thursday, the 16th, and Friday, the 17th—bridge in the afternoon and evening on Thursday and rook Fri day morning to be followed by bridge Friday afternoon and evening. It’s a grand chance to entertain your friends without having to bother with a party at home. It costs only 25c a player and the proceeds go to the Auxiliary and is distributed to various good causes. Neville, of the Woman’s Auxiliary, which organ ization is sponsoring the course, will do the teaching. Class hours will be from 9:30 to ll-.OO a. m. each morn ing except Wednesday, when the pas tor will take the class at the usual player meeting hour of 7.30 p. m.
