Last week was a busy one for New-
berrians with the county fair in full
swing, the horseshow, parties, and
the weekend football games, parti
cularly the college thriller when the
Indians did some brilliant playing in
the remaining few minutes of the
game to hold Newberry’s record of
not loosing a single football game on
the local field . . . From one of these
events to the other, the soc. ed. was
hurrying, but she thought the horse-
show unusually fine and worthy of
some notes. So out of the pocket
book came pencil and paper and the

school and the proper way to salute

A bridge and rook tournament will
be sponsored by the American Legion
Auxiliary next week, to be held ati
