Hemming er, Mrs. Brice, of Hemmingway, sister of the groom-elect, Mrs. Woodward of . Anderson, the groom's aunt, and Mrs. Suian Le Roy, Willington, his grandmother. Mrs. C. B. Freeland invited the guest;s into the dining room where punch was served from a beauti fully appointed table by Mrs. Fos ter Speer, and Mrs. Martha Mar- jenhoff. Duing the afternoon piaino mu sic was furnished by Mrs. C. B Culbreath and Mrs. G. E. Langley Guests called between a p. m. Refreshments of pink and green brick ice cream with individua. ingel food cakes and mints- wert served. Those assisting in entertaining were Mrs. J. L. Bracknell, Mrs .ack Reynolds, Mrs. H. P. Schmidt Misses Janet Caudle, Gladys Winn and Carolyn Rice. A gift for her trousseau was pre sented the bride. On Friday afternoon Mrs. Harry Ream entertained with a miscel- aneous shower for Miss Freeland. Her home was beautifully deco rated with summer flowers. Mrs. James N. Peck of Ford City, Pa. ; won the prize for drawing the most unusual bride and groom. Miss Marian Freeland kept the register. C., was honored with several parties during the week. On Tuesday evening at 6 o’clock Mrs. R. L. Dowtin gave a miscel- aneous shower at her home at Cotton Level. The bride’s place was marked with a*, daisy corsage. A- bout forty guests brought useful gifts which were opened and dis mayed by the bride. Punch and cookies were served in the front yard.
