Mr. Luke became interested ih Belk-Luke Company the middle of 1940, since which time , the store’s volume has increased oyer a million dollars, and under the new set up an additional increase of two million and a half is ex pected, thus making Belk-Luke Company one of the largest stores in the South. This is an expression of Mr. Lake’s confidence in Augusta and this trade area.
