This protection can be afforded by doing everything pos sible to insure that gasoline tax rates are reasonable and that the revenue obtained is used exclu sively for highway maintenance and construction—the purpose for which the original gasoline tax was enacted.” W. Williams, Jr., president of the Freeport Sulphur Company, points cut that there are now T more than 1.700 industrial research laboratories, employing 23,000 technicians, on which in dustry is spending 250 million dollars a year. These research workers are trained men recruited from the great technical schools and uni versities. This particular company has appointed one of its engineers, Donald B.
