[The State, 3rd.] The following official statement for the benefit of the pensioners of the State was issued yesterday from the State pension department: "Every year almost as soon as the legislature adjourns and the appro priation for pensions becomes availa ble, such questions are constantly asked, as "When will the money be paid out? C., has been arrested here by De tective Walker on a charge of mak ing away with some goods which did not belong to him. When the pris onor was searched it was found that he was wanted on a more serious charge. He is accused of a big forg cry and the authorities of South Car olina have been sending out descrip tions and making strong efforts to captr,ro hiu. Ford is wanted at Florence on charges of forgery and bigany. He was a tobacco grower. In 1897, it is alleged, he forged a small check on a ware house man. He gave bond for trial and disap peared. He married the daughter of Bryant flall, a prominent citizen of Florence, who claims to have dis covered that Ford had been married before.
