Atlanta, Georgia SUCCESSFUL CANTATA AT FOUNTAIN INN The Laurens Singers Score a Success in the Border Town, The Border Town Scores a HH with the I.aureus Singers. Gathering Information from a num her of those who attended the cantata Ut Fountain Inn Friday evening, it seems that the entertainment given by the Laurens singers was successful iu i very way and the hospitality shown by tin Fountain timers was in equal; proportion. The party of Laurens people, about fifty strong, left Friday afternopn in automobiles and r inched the little city in time to partake of a line picnic supper which had been pr >? pan d for them. Judging by the magnificent spread that the Laurens people were greet ed with, the Fountain Inn folks must have thought that the singers were mighty caters for it is said that they had only prepared for about fifteen, As it was though, there was more than enough for everybody. The cantata "The Nazarene" was sung. This is the favorite one of their party's repetolre and Friday evening it was sung better perhaps than ever before. A large audience greeted them and everything went off well. The receipts were divided with the missionary society of the Methodist church there, a nice little sum be ing realized. A number of the Laurens people had not been iu Fountain Inn in several years and they were very much struck with the progress there. The beautiful school building was especially com mented upon.
