Any pei son. linn or eorpor-' ntion prosecuting or engaging In any business, occupation or profession o keeping any establishment named in this ordinance without first bavi - paid the special License Tax em:)os?;d. shall, upon conviction, be lined not exceeding one hundred dollars, or be, imprisoned not exceeding thirty day* lit the discretion of the mayor, and [luring said imprisonment shall at the discretion of the mayor or city council, be required to labor upon the streets, highways and other public works of the City of Laurens under the super vision of the said city council. Sec. C. The foregoing ordinance j shall go into effect immediately, and all ordinances inconsistent herewith! are repealed.
