?RAY COURT TELEPHONE COMPANY. Exchange Organized al Near-by Town. Opening of Institute. Gray Court. S. C, Sept. 21.- The Gray Court Telephone Exchange Co. lias been organized and charter applied for. There have already been twenty six phones subscribed for and more are expected to conic in as the lines are erected. Misses Catherine and Corrinne Ander son, of Pendlelon, stopped over for a few days last week on their way to Lander college as the guest of Miss Laurie Gray. Misses Ethel Willis and Laurie Cray left Thursday for Greenwood, where they will attend bander college. Quite a number enjoyed the Fairview stock show Friday. This is a place known for its fine shows and good en tertainment and all who attend always report a good time. I'ho Gray Court-Owings institute opened its session Monday last with an enrollment of sixty-six pupils. This is very small as the school always enrolls on.- hundred and fifty and it is hoped it will exceed that number this session. Mr. ?}. Archie Willis has charge of the school and is expected with the able assi. tanls which he has to do great good this year. The cotton crop is very short in this section this year and is being gathered very rapidly and sold as it is ginned. IKE ONLY WAY TO SAVE A MAN'S VALUE.
