?RAY COURT TELEPHONE COMPANY.
Exchange Organized al Near-by Town.
Opening of Institute.
Gray Court. S. C, Sept. 21.- The
Gray Court Telephone Exchange Co.
lias been organized and charter applied
for. There have already been twenty
six phones subscribed for and more are
expected to conic in as the lines are
erected.
Misses Catherine and Corrinne Ander
son, of Pendlelon, stopped over for a
few days last week on their way to
Lander college as the guest of Miss
Laurie Gray.
Misses Ethel Willis and Laurie Cray
left Thursday for Greenwood, where
they will attend bander college.
Quite a number enjoyed the Fairview
stock show Friday. This is a place
known for its fine shows and good en
tertainment and all who attend always
report a good time.
I'ho Gray Court-Owings institute
opened its session Monday last with an
enrollment of sixty-six pupils. This is
very small as the school always enrolls
on.- hundred and fifty and it is hoped it
will exceed that number this session.
Mr. ?}. Archie Willis has charge of the
school and is expected with the able
assi. tanls which he has to do great good
this year.
The cotton crop is very short in this
section this year and is being gathered
very rapidly and sold as it is ginned.
IKE ONLY WAY TO SAVE A MAN'S
VALUE.
Personally, as an active man, you
have an actual, definite money value.
You are WORTH a sum equal to your
income capitalized on a live per cent,
basis. If you die uninsured there is
absolutely no way to prevent the loss
of that capital t > your family or de
pendents. Its loss can be prevented by
Life Insurance, but BY NO OTHER
MEANS ON EARTH. A man who
forgets that, and neglects to SAFE
GUARD at least a part of his value,
has ground for criticizing himself to
say the least The Southeastern Life In
surance Co. offer some very attractive
c ,a: racts and is the FIRST AND
ONLY OLD LINE COMPANY OF
THIS STATE.
