Mar tin gave thoir eldest daughter, Claudia Arlana, in marriage to Mr. Edward Douglas Lomas, of Columbia. The marriage took place at the home of the bride at Youngs, in the presence of a few friends and relatives, the Rev. Mr. Parrott, officiating. Immediately af ter the ceremony an elegant supper was served. The gifts to the bride were numerous and handsome. The parlor where the ceremony was performed, was tastefully decorated with cut dow ers and pot plants. The bride was beautiful in a gown of organdie, while the groom wore a street suit of black. On Thursday morning the happy cou ple loft for a visit to tho family of Dr. Hope, of Macon, Ga., a brotherlnlaw of the groom. After their return they will board at 1,618 Assembly St., Col. umbia, S.
