FKBKUA11Y, - - 2, 1898 A bill to repeal the agricultural lien law was stubbornly fought in the legislature (house) last week and was defeated by a small vote. The house has passed a bill re pealing the anti-free pass bill. ' They passed the same bill last cession, but the Senate did not ' think that war. They may not ^gree with the house this time. I A majority of the house id in favor of repealing the law against free passes, but thay voted dowu a amendment to prevent the receiving of mileage by those who may accept passes. It is thought that if the senate passes it, it will be with that amendment. ' Senator Tillman can always be j relied upon to furnish an inter ! e?tiniir performance in the senate when he makes a speech. Yesterday was no exception. Mr. Tillm in was d '-a'libing hi metalism in las own iinhmo way Avnon mo amusing incident occur-1 ,,1. Itofore Is".'! iid he, marching up :iud down the able, wo used to go on two legs.
