The first fight was over the county chairinanship the candidates being Joe Thompson and Prince Martin. The former was elected by a vote of twenty-two to twenty. The next thing in order was the election of delegates to the State convention. iAumber of nominations were made, and the following negrocs elected: -Israel Byrd, jrince Martin and George Jones. After PTince Mar ~tin's election, Andy Stewart, one of the delegates, intimated In strong lan guage that the convention had disgrac ed itself-alluding, no doubt, to the fact that Prince is a convicted thiet.
