It was decided that the club meet every Tuesday after noon during the winter months and should be called the “Tuesday After noon Club.” The members are, Misses j Lucy Carpenter, Pearl Crawley, Win nie Davenport, Lula and Freeman Garrett, Volina Hamrick, Cleo Little and Jessie Lipscomb. The meeting of the Lodge His torical Society at Limestone College Wednesday evening was a delightful occasion for the young folks. A large crowd of Gaffney gallants were pres ent and everybody had a good time. The program arranged by the young ladies was a capital oqe and was splendidly carried out. In addition to being one of the very best police officers m the State, Chief Lockhart, of the local throe, has demonstrated that he la a good farmer. He has just gathered from less than seven-eights of an acre of land sixty bushels of corn. The corn was grown inside the corporate lim its of Gaffney, and Mr. Lockhart pur- sued the Williamson plan as nearly as possible in the cultivation thereof.
