Prof. Theodore Spears has been re elected superintendent of the Gaff ney graded school for the ensuelng year. Prof. Spears has done a good work in Gaffney and it Is to be hoped that he will decide to remain as superintendent another year. While young Bryan Huskey was chopping wood a few days ago he made what is called a mlsllck, and cut one of his feet severely with the axe. B. Steedly, assisted by Dr. J. M. Caldwell, performed an exceed ingly delicate and difficult operation yesterday upon the young son of Mr. Price Martin. He removed a section of one of bis ribs and cut from the liver an abcess from which a lot of pus was discharged. We understand that the operation was entirely suc cessful and that the young man is doing well.
