On last Sunday afternoon, at 6:30 o’clock, the grim monster, Death, laid his chilly hands upon the brow of our beloved brother, father, husband and friend, Mr. J. M. O'Sullivan and his spirit went back to the God who gave It. For more than four months his health had been failing, but he was confined to hbi bed only about a month. He spent his last illness at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. O. R. Campbell, of this nlace. Mr. O’Sullivan was fifty-nine years of age and leaves a wife, eight child ren, all married, and a mother, to mourn their loss. He was for more than twentv ve*rs a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church. South, holding his member ship at Cannon’s Camp Ground. His life was a most consistent one and in his last hours he gave manv testi monials that all would be well with him. His honest, quiet, upright life made for him a host of friends wher ever he was known. His remains were carried to Can non’s Camp Ground for interment, where a large crowd of sorrowing friends and acquaintances had gath ered to pay their last respects to the deceased friend and brother.
