Nelson's special sale began Wednes day. and has been drawing big crowds | of customers. He bas a large force of extra salesmen and saleswomen em ployed for the occasion. Rev. F. C. Felmet, of Converse, will move to Gaffney soon and make his home in this city. Gaffney will welcome Mr. Felmet and his estimable family. Johnson, of the Gaffney Live Stock Company, returned Wednesday morning from the western markets, i where he bought a carload of fine j mules. Cotton has been selling for eleven I cents on the Gaffney market for the i last two or three days. The receipts ' Wednesday were 173 bales, and prob- ; ably that many were sold yesterday. Midway Sunday school will meet, at the old Midway school house at Tur ners next Sunday at 3 o’clock. There will also be preaching there on the third Sunday at half-past three o’clock, by Rev. F. C. Felmet. Every body is invited to come. Postmaster Folger has received no tice of the anoointment of two new rural routes which were examined and laid off for consideration by an agent of the government. The new routes will be known as Nos. 7 and 8. One leaves the city out by Limestone Mills, and the other out by the Irene Mills. Rev. R. T. Liston, who has accepted a call to the pastorate of the Presby terian church of this city, expects to move to Gaffney about the middle of this month.
