Keep Your Eye on The Battery The Second Game. The second game of the series be tween the teams of. The Ledger and The Cherokee News was played on Tuesday afternoon. The teams were more evenly matched than in the first game, but there was some ragged play ing on both sides in the first four in nings. after which the game was fast and snappy. For The Ledger Snead pitched a steady game, keeping the hits well scattered. Humphries and Richardson both pitched good ball. Richardson being especially effective throughout the five innings pitched by hi^>. Hamrick caught, as usual, in j faultless style, hut was a little off in! his throwing.
