But it also became apparent that there was a feud of long standing between Byars and the Lipscomb family, the result of Byars having seduced one of Lipscomb’s daughters. The jury continued in session till late Saturday night and adjourned until Sunduy morning, when it held a short session and returned a verdict charging Wash Lipscomb with the killing and Paul and rtiias Lipscomb with being accessories, and directed that they all be held for court.
