i 1 ONLY ONE COOE r~ FOR SCROFOLA. r S. S. S. is the Only Remedy Equal to this Obstinate Disease. There are dozens of remedies recommended for Scrofula, some of them no doubt being able to afford temporary relief, but S. S. S. is absolutely the only remedy which completely cures it. Scrofula is one of the most obstinate, deep-seated blood diseases, and is beyond the reach of the many so-called purifiers and tonics because some thing more than a mere tonic is required. S. S. S. is equal to any blood trouble, and never fails to cure Scrofula, because it goes down to the seat of the disease, thus permanently eliminating every trace of the taint. The sei ions consequences to which Scrofula surely leads should impress upon those afflicted with it the vital im portance of wasting no time upon treatment which can not possibly effect a cure. In many cases where the wrong treatment has been relied upon, complicated glandular swellings have resulted, for which the doctors insist that a dangerous surgical operation is necessary. . Mr. M. E. Thompson,of Milledgeville, Ga., writes: “A ^ ^ bad case of Scrofula broke out on the glands of my neck, which had to be lanced and caused me much suffering. I ' jf ^ was treated for a long while, but the physicians were tin- (iatbC.J able to cure me, and my condition was as bad as when I y 1 began their treatment. Many blood remedies were used, but without effect. Some one recommended S. S. S., and I began to improve ns soon as I had taken a few bottles. Continuing the remedy, I was soon cured permanently, and have never had a sign of the disease to return.” Swift’s Specific— S. S. S. FOR THE BLOOD —mi the only remedy which can promptly reach and cure obstinate, deop-seated blood diseases. By relying upon it, and not experimenting with the various so-called tonics, etc., all sufferers from blood troubles cun be promptly cured, instead of enduring years of suffering which gradually but surely undermines Swift Specific Company. I’iiie in tli<‘ City Markets. The lino quality of beef offered in the city markets, the immense quantity sold, and the fact that nearly all of if is raised in Cherokee county shows that we have a good cattle growing country mid should be an incentive to our peoph) to go into the business on an ex'.err.dve scale. There arc thousands of acres ol land now idle in this county that could he profitably used in Hie cattle busi ness and undt r their feet would be- I come richer every year. 4 Some have gone into business on j u small sculi v . vv . fHAOe ncc.i»^-r rtc> amt most r tv likely in a hup-hazard way. To make the busi ness profitable, it will have to have the same careful attention that is necessary to the successful conduct of old liens of business on tl e farm. We trust that those of our farmers who are experimenting in cattle raising and fattening will furnish Tlie Ledger with tlie result of their ventures. We feel sure that such re ports will be incentives to others to go into the business unci thus build up a huge and profitable industry in the county that will not impoverish but will, under intelligent direction, enrich tho farms an t make money j for the oweers. All the blood in your body passes through your kidneys once every three minutes. ^ The kidneys are your blood purifiers, they fil ter out the waste or impurities in the blood. If they are sick or out of order, they fail to do their work. Pains, aches and rheu matism come from ex cess of uric acid in the blood, due to neglected kidney trouble. Kidney trouble causes quick or unsteady heart beats, and makes one feel as though they had heart trouble, because the hearths over-v/orking in pumping thick, kidney- poisoned blood through veins and arteries. It used to be considered that only urinary troubles were to be traced to the kidneys, but now modern science proves that neaily all constitutional diseases have their begin ning in kidney trouble. If you are sick you can make no mistake by first doctoring your kidneys. The mild and the extraordinary effect of Dr. Kilmer’s Swamp-Root, the great kidney remedy is soon realized.
