At a meeting of the Sp artanburg liaptist Association field at Poplar Spring Church on 23rd of August, the name of Cooper-Limestone Insti tute was changed to that of Lime stone College, and the entire school property was turned over to a self- perpetuating Board of Trustees of fifteen members to be held and oper ated perpetually as a college ior tiie entire State. It was further deter mined to raise and expend^lO.OlO more on the building, equipments, and grounds. Capt. John H. Montgomery of Spartanburg proposing to contrib ute ^.VOOO of that amount, provided the balance be raised. It is said by the friends of the col lege that if Gaffney city will make a liberal contribution, there will be lit tle difficulty in raising the money, and Limestone will be made the finest and most attractive place In the State. We hope the money will be raised, and we believe that Gaffney will do her duty by the college. Articles From Antioch. (Correspondence of The Ledger.)
