Carroll ,fc To., Lessees. No other subject draws so heavily on the English language. Our old friend, Addison Clarke, the master of clear, concise style, and lucid expressions, in speaking of the “lowing cattle,” the “limpid streams,” the “glittering sunlight,” did not dream of the haven of home of to-day. In this age of greed for gain, happiness is the ideal of what money brings. A dollar is measured by the amount of home comforts or luxuries it buys. Then it is not strange the people seek out the store where the dollar buys most comforts, most happiness. A knowledge of the fact that at the Company Store more real values can be had for a dollar than elsewhere, has built us a business, beginning with nothing six months ago and to-day towers far above any store in Gaffney in the volume of business done each month.
