C*, Sept., 18th, 189u. Astmry’s •. 8. ConrestiMf. The Sunday school convention held last Sunday at Aabnry church was in every respect a grand success. Rev. John W. Harris preached a good sermon appropriate to the occasion. J. L. Strain, the chairman, was at his best. The singing was first class and-speeches timely and impressive. Prof. W. F. McArthur was on hand and rendered effective service. The chairman passed a well deserved compliment on him for past service in the conventions. The Professor reached Asbury on “Stilts.” Ask him about it. Mrs. J. D. Jefferies. Jr., knows just exactly how to use the organ in any way. and Prof. Davis and his choir led the singing. They gave the con vention first class music. It was worth the hot, dusty ride to Asbury to listen to and enjoy the music. Final Notice. We have been giving notice from time time the past month that we would discontinue all papers which were not paid for. A great many have took us at our word, but some seem to think we were not serious about the matter. We take it for granted that those who have not paid up do not want the paper any longer, so we will positively stop the paper after this issue. We do not desire to treat anyone unfairly but consider we have given ample notice, so if you wish to take the paper call and pay up arrears and several months in advance. ’SIMMONS dm Bucklen’s Arnica Salve.
