Two negroes, Will Jones and Will Mishaw had a row at the brick yard last Tuesday. Jones shot Mishaw through the finger. Mishaw made good time to town, and Jones did tho same to North Carolina. Chief Camp arrested Bill Thomson last Saturday for not paying street taxes. Thomson was quite boistrious and attacked the chief who soon put him out of the lighting notion and prevailed on him to accept a thirty days job on the street The ice cream festival for the hen* ?(it of the baseball team was repeated at Lipscomb’s Hotel last Friday night. The crowd was somewhat larger and a little more enthusiastic. ■’Billy” Beden took the choice cake. The hoys tried to out-bid him but Billy said "they couldn’t run the shout over him.” Rev. (J. M.
