Tuesday afternoon two black, threat cuing clouds were observed in the heavens, and the remarkable thing about it was one was in the North* west, the other in the Southeast, and it was seen that they wre approach ing each other. On and on they came like two huge volumes of dense, black smoke. Nearer and nearer they came until at last they seemed to meet. W ood, corner Lime stone and Logan streets, occupied by Wilkins Bros, was struck by lightn ing and had about four feet of the corner lorn otf. The occupants of the store were slightly shocked and the ladies badly fright •ned. hut no serij oils damage done.
