An explana tion of tbo system, as conducted in the Fairview Graded School, follows: A head mark is awarded to that member of a class who numbers “first.” The person receiving the head mark retires to the foot of tho class at next re citation.-. Any student who receive* head marks out of two-fifths of the recitation in a w’eck is entitled to an Honor Roll. Pro* vided the.whole number of head marks s' * which receive the honor mark, U re ceived between Monday and Friday, tho name of the student is placed upon the Honor Roll for that week.
