Armstrong, living some eight miles rfrom tho village, and endeavored to bite his little daughter. She fortuu, ately yet narrowly escaped, the dog tearfcig her dress as she rai^up the steps. Mr. Armstrong shot tho dog, which ran ?wj esJaped. Borne time afterward the same dog made an ef fort to bite Mr. Armstrong, who was iu his field at work and unarmed. A lucky blow with a fence Vail put an end to his dogehip. Mr. Armstrpng’s dog was hllten, and ought to have been killed and qot tied up to wait de velopments as we hear has been done.
