Ellis, Jr., of the Boiling Springs section, will regret to know that he is quite ill at his home. A speedy recovery is hoped for by his friends and relatives. Master Charles Burckhalter, son of Dr. and Mr^. C. N. Burckhalter, has been taken to Asheville, N. C., for treatment and it is hoped that he will soon return heme entirely restored to health. These scholarships open to young men sixteen years of age or over, who desire to pursue courses in Agriculture and Textiles. Claiborne Simms, of Norfolk, Va„ who is working through the various Chambers of Commerce in the State to put South Carolina in- North Carolina, is in the city this week gathering data for a special edition to be> issued by the Anderson Independent.
