The many friends of Mr. T, B. Ellis,
Jr., of the Boiling Springs section,
will regret to know that he is quite
ill at his home. A speedy recovery is
hoped for by his friends and relatives.
Master Charles Burckhalter, son of
Dr. and Mr^. C. N. Burckhalter, has
been taken to Asheville, N. C., for
treatment and it is hoped that he will
soon return heme entirely restored to
health.

Clemson College will be held on Fri
day, July 9th, 19?6, beginning at 9:00
a. m., by each County Superintendent
Education. These scholarships
open to young men sixteen
years of age or over, who desire to
pursue courses in Agriculture and
Textiles.
Persons interested should write
the Registrar far information and ap
plication blanks before the time of
the examinations. Successful ap
plicants must meet fully the require
ments for admission. i
Each scholarship is worth $100.00
and free tuition, which is $40.00 ad
ditional. Membership in the Re
serve Officers Training Corps—R. O
T. C.—is equivalent in money value
to a scholarship during the junior
and senior year*.

used as credit toward admission to

Mr. Herman Mazujpky, son of Mr.
and Mrs. B. Mazursky, of this city,
arrived home last week,, having been
graduated in law at the University
of Virginia. His brother, Mr. Mordc-
cai'Mazursky,.attended the commence

not decided where’ he will 'locate to
practice his profession, but states
that bis first choice is Birmingham.

Norfolk, Va„ who is working through

week gathering data for a special
