Smith were tea guests. • After several interesting rounds of bridge, the Hostess, assisted by Mrs. S. B. Ray, served delicious refresh ments in two courses, consisting of chicken salad, tomatoes on lettuce, crackers, olives, toasted cheese sand wiches and iced toa, followed by ap ricot sherbet and chocolate cake. Mrs. Sarah Delk, widow of the late Meddie J. Delk, died at her home near Olar Sunday afternoon; April 18th, at five o’clock, after an illness of several weeks. Mrs. .Delk sur vived her husband by seventeen years, having attained the age of fifty-five years: > \ Mrs. Delk was a faithful and con sistent member ol the • Friendship Baptist Church! Her body was laid to re.st in the Double Pond cemetery by the side of her husband. She left surviving her the following: children: Mrs. Hanie W. Corley, of Schofield, r Mrs. Ed. C.
