The Pickens Sentinel Two Years for $2.00 During October Only From now until November 1, 1921, we will accept two-year subscriptions to The Pickens Sentinel for $2.00, new or renewal. This is at the rate of $1.00 a year, but no subscription will be accepted at this rate for any other length of time than two years. During the past year of stringent times The Sentinel did not cut off any subscribers, except when it was requested (which was the case in about three instances), consequently we have many ex pired subscriptions on our books. We are putting the paper back on the cash-in advance system, as it is the only plan to conduct a successful newspaper. We do not want to have to discontinue any subscriptions, so we are making this very liberal offer and any one may take advantage of it. There is no profit in subscriptions even at $1.50 a year, as you probably know, and it has been some thing of a strain for us to carry approximately 1000 unpaid subscriptions a year, but we were glad to do it for friends of the paper. Now we need the money and hope that as many as possible will come in and4 renew their subscriptions. This price will be good for October only. We* guarantee that the regular price of The Sentinel will + not be reduced from $1.50. A paper worthy of the county cannot be produced for less. We stuck by you, now stick by us. e4 During October Only THE SENTINEL 2 YEARS FOR $2.00 No MORE - NO LESS This Offer Open to Old and New Subscribers To Be Reld at Peters Creek Fifth Saturday and Sunday Following is the program of the union meetitng of the Pickens Bap tist associatiOn to be held with the Peters Creek Ihurch the fifth Sat urday arnd Sunday in October.
