I shall scan what goes into my advertising columns as closely as that which goes into my news col umns, realizing that every column of my paper speaks of me. I shall always remember that pol ities is not a game but a responst hility, and when I write I shall make sure what motive is behind my ut terances. 1 shall not hate my conipetitor, but :-emember he is humad and as likely to err the same as 1. I shall belong to, pay my dues to and attend regularly my local, state and national editorial associations. I shall charge what my work is worth, realizing that by so doing I can serve my community best. SThe best asset of Pieckens is its people. Contrary to the impression which some may have, they are in dustrious and law-abiding.
