SOCIETIES DEBATE FOR MEDAL The Inter-Society meeting under the auspictes of the School Improvement Association of the Burroughs High School will take place on this evening; also Friday evening. The contest promises to be very interesting. Representatives of the Timrod and Lanier societies, the two literary societies of the high school, have been busy for the past month preparing for these contests. On this evening, the declamation contest, the essay contest, the reading contest and oratorical contest will take place. On Friday evening, the debate will take place. The School Improvement Association is offering a loving cup, to be held for one year by the society that gaines the greatest number of points at this meeting.
