Skipper was driving* along the road with a mule and buggy, taking* a si *k chi'd U the doctor. After hearing all the testimony which was varied and contradictory to a- great e\ten* on the two sides, tlie jury returned a verdict of guilty of driving without the lights provided by law, and the defendant was fined in the sum of $25, which he promptly paid. There were .a number of witnesses summoned and the case attracted more than the ordinary amount of attention.
