CAUSING LOW PRICE Tt is conceded that ihe heavy rains of last week injured the tobacco crop to a great extent in many parts of the county. TOBAGCOMARKET HAS NEW BUYER Had Been on the Market all the While but Not Buying LAST WEEK SAW UPWARD TENDENCY Especially After American Tobacco Company Began Buying on the Market There were large sales of tobacco on the Conway tobacco market last week. There was an average sale of over two hundred thousand pounds each sale day, this being a conservative estimate. Farmers came to town in large numbers bringinng the best of the crop thouarh in many cases the product was injured to some extent by the damp atmosphere. The end of the week saw an upward tendency in prices paid for tne loaf.
