This was done within a few minutes and the resolution then sent to the president for his signature, correcting a very serious error on the part of one of the clerks at the capitol. Had it not been for the vigilance and quick work of Senator Smith serious damage might have y resulted in the <' lay over correcting this mistake. Senator Smith who 'a t yeai had his law passed providing Per ton grades of e ;tton on tin exchange-; icalming that as this was an amendment to the wheat bill :\.w expiring it would expire also.
