The chamber of commerce, as a live and active member of this community, will do more for the town and the county than we can now estimate. The thing' to do now is to help their efforts along. Clerk of Court, W. L. Bryan, acting as Special Referee under Order of the Court, held another hearing in the case of Kathcrine Kirton vs. Albert C. Floyd, et al., beginning at eieven o'clock last Thursday morning. The Court went on with the taking of testimony which had been interrupted last September when the hearing was commenced. At the hearing last Thursday Col. C. P. Quattlebaum appeared representing Solicitor L. M. Gasque, who J had been retained to represent Mrs. Etta V. Altman, one of the defendants.
